Q: How do I get a Herby Curby container?
A: Just call us and arrange for delivery of a container(s) to your home or business. There is no charge for delivery!

Q: How many bags will fit into a Herby Curby® container?
A: Approximately 5 regular size garbage bags that measure 26" by 36".

Q: Do I have to use garbage bags?
A: No, you don't have to use garbage bags. Most of our customers will fill their containers with small bags that they line their waste paper and kitchen garbage cans with. This will save you money that you normally would spend on garbage bags!

Q: Can I use my Herby Curby® for yard waste?
A: Yes, in the City of Windsor your container can also be used on yard waste days. Please check your City of Windsor garbage & recycling collection calendars. If you don't have a calendar in Windsor, then call the City's Environmental Services Department at 519-974-1010.

Q: What should I do to keep my Herby Curby® container clean?
A: To clean: use a garden hose and a brush or sponge and wipe the container. If you have allowed your container to get really dirty & grimy then you should use a degreaser like Fantastic and spray the container and let the degreaser sink in before washing the container with warm water and a sponge.

Q: What happens if someone steals my container?
A: When you call us, we will look up the serial # of your container. We then will ask you to check your neighbourhood because sometimes your container can get mixed up with other containers close by. On occasion, our customers will find their container down the street or alley. So it's a good idea to look for the container. If you are renting the container from us and haven't found it after looking, you should then call the Local Police to get them to fill out a report over the phone. DO NOT CALL 911! Thereafter, call us back with the report number and we will deliver another container for you. You'll also be charge a small restocking fee.

Q: How can I pay for a container?
A: You will need a chequing or savings account to rent a container from us. Each month, Herby Curby® will debit your account for $6.08 plus taxes. When we deliver the container to you, a $25.00 security deposit will be required and you can pay for that with cash, cheque or credit card (Visa/Master Card). You will also need to sign a rental agreement that includes a provision for cancellation upon 30 days notice. When you cancel the service, the security deposit will be returned to you as long as your account is current.

Q: I have a business, can Herby Curby® be used for a business?
A: Yes, a Herby Curby® is approximately a 1/2 cubic yard. We charge half the price of renting a large dumpster. Many of our clients are landlords and operators of rental properties and apartment buildings. Just remember you must wheel your containers to the curb. City regulations prevent garbage trucks from entering your property.

Q: I live outside of Windsor can I still get a container?
A: Recycling Carts are available in Amherstburg and throughout all of Essex County. Call for details on our service areas.
