Installation / Application:

Instructions:
- Unpack the cart and remove all packaging and transit bolts if present.
- If wheels and axle are shipped separately, slide wheels onto the axle and secure per manufacturer fasteners (use rubber mallet or wrench if needed).
- Attach or verify the lid is properly seated and latched; install any optional lock or tamper device if supplied.
- Place the cart on a flat surface near the curbside pickup point, ensuring wheels face the roadway for easy rolling.
- Position the cart upright with the handle accessible — do not overfill or block the lid from closing fully.
- For collection day, roll the cart to the designated pickup location and return it to storage promptly after emptying.
- Clean periodically with water and mild detergent; avoid hot ash, solvents or aggressive chemicals that can damage the plastic.
- Inspect wheels, axle and lid seals periodically and tighten or replace hardware as needed to maintain safe operation.

Duralatch, it looks simple because it is.
This simple-to-use latch stands up to rain, wind gusts up to 65 MPH, pesky critters and the day-to-day abuse of curbside waste collection. Fully compatible with automated waste collection trucks, DuraLatch features gravity-based functionality, meaning the lid opens automatically when garbage truck tips and empties the cart. Alternatively the collection operator can manually release the latch on pickup day. Then the cart must be manually latched when it’s set back down on the curb.
Duralatch is best suited to Herby Curby waste disposal carts, particularly if you store your cart outside. Can be installed on all of our carts whether for waste or recycling use.

Securalid Premium Wheelie Bin Latch / Lock
Secure A-Lid’s Wheelie Bin Latch and Wheelie Bin Lock, all automatically unlatch upon garbage collection via our patented gravity release design mechanism. When the wheelie bin is lifted and tilted by the garbage truck, the swinging arm is free to rotate and disconnect from the main latch.
